Week #2 in Trujillo . . . Jungle Week!

October 11, 2021

Another week down in the beautiful Honduras. This week had a lot of ups and a lot of downs but overall was a successful week. I got to experience a little bit of the rainstorms down here and they're awesome. I love the rain.

I'd like to say im pretty close to being adjusted to most of the stuff here. Occasionally stuff will happen that'll throw me off guard but for the most part, at least in my area, I feel pretty used to everything. I never have taken so many buses or taxis in my life hahaha its actually crazy. Those rides are always interesting and i actually enjoy them because im a super curious person and i love to look at things so i just look out the window and i stay busy.

I realized I didnt put a pic of my comp in the email last week so ill be sure to do that this week. This week me and my comp set up 9 new baptism dates which was awesome, but already like 2 or 3 of them have stopped answering our calls. Missionary work is so tough over the phone but we're makin it work and we are gonna need to work our butts off with every one of them.

This week a member asked me if she could paint a picture on my Book of Mormon. Obviously, i said yes and chose this picture of Jesus that has a really cool story behind it with me and my Sister. Ill put the pic of the final product down below.

I am learning so much every single day, and i can just feel my priorities shifting. Last night, we got to sleep at our district leaders house because we have zone conference on tuesday and didnt wanna make the huge drive back in one day. In their house they have running water (still cant drink it), and a toilet that flushes by itself, and a shower (basically a hose). Just for the day we spent there, i was so grateful for all of those extra things we had. I totally took for granted how lucky i was to have all of that stuff at home, so readily available.

Things here are goin great! Also just to clarify, I have 1 hour every P-Day to talk to people, and that includes calling my fam and stuff so if i ever don't reply quickly that is why. But i promise I do read them, and i will reply to them asap. I appreciate all of your uplifting messages! They help me get through the week. Hope you all have an awesome next week! Love you all. <3
