Mom and Dad,
I am in Honduras!! We got here at about 11, then we got picked up by the AP's and went to a church to eat Food and meet my mission president. I met my trainer, he is a super nice dude from Guatemala. He speaks very little English, but we've been in the mission office all day because we are going to be serving in the furthest area possible from the City. So we didnt have time to drive there today. We're gonna take a bus there tomorrow cause its like an 11 hour bus ride hahaha. Sorry they said i could call you guys but it didnt work. So im just writing an email instead. My new area is called Trujillo, and its known as being the nicer part of Honduras. It was way cool tho cause right as we got into Honduras, this guy from the US started asking me tons of questions and i ended up giving him a book of mormon haha. Anyways you guys should download Whatsapp cause i think thats how i can call you guys on my P-days (on monday). Also i need you guys to log onto my facebook if you can and try to find a notification that talks about a phone trying to log into my account from honduras cause it says i need permission. I need to get into my account but it has to be accepted from home first. I need to go. And its safe and im havin a good time. Spanish is tough but we'll get it. LOVE YOU TONS!!

WOW week one of the field down and that was absolutely crazy. I'll try to always keep my emails short and sweet but this week was a ride and a half. Also quick thing.. I think i can only talk to people through email, so if you ever want to talk, you can find me here.
Last week (monday night), i had a flight to atlanta with a 4 hour layover there, then another flight to Honduras. Once we arrived there, we all got on a bus and the zone leaders took us to a church where we met our Mission President, and our companions. My comp's name is Elder España and he is from Guatemala. He only has 3 months out in field but he seems to know what he's doing. We were also told that our area was "Trujillo" which is the furthest area from where we were, and its about an 11 hour bus ride away from there. That ride was crazy cause we had no AC on the bus but it was okay. At first i was kind of bummed, but once i got there i was so hyped. It's one of two areas in our mission that has a beach, and the best way I could describe it would be that it feels like im living in a jungle on the beach. It's absolutely beautiful.
Adjusting to Honduras has been pretty wild but im getting used to it. We shower with a bucket every day and dont have any running water in the house. There are TONS of dogs, cats, chickens, and even horses just walking around every single road. All my clothes are washed by hand. Its super humid so im almost always sweating. They speak pretty fast here and my comp doesnt understand much English so ive been having to learn a lot of words quickly. None of them ever shake hands, its always just bones which i think is dope. The food is different but i actually love it and i havent gotten sick yet. There are tons of motorcycles that just cruise through the streets and pass cars. All the latino missionaries always say "Big Drip" cause that is one of the only things they know and its way funny.
Cool story.. last night after conference I felt like i had had an unproductive day because i didn't understand a lot of conference, so I asked my comp if we could teach a lesson. Due to covid, most of our lessons are over the phone so we called this investigador to have a small lesson with him. Our usual 15 minute lesson turned into an hour long conversation about how he's been searching his whole life for the truth, and he knows he has found it. He also happened to speak english so i could explain what he was feeling to him a little bit better and we ended up setting him up a baptism date for the end of October! People here are SO humble and they are such good people. I am learning so much here and im lovin it!
I love and miss you all! Hope you're all doing amazing. Talk to you next week!
